




Beyond the stigma
The connection to oneself is the most important bridge to be able to connect with the world. The fact that we have been longing for this inner place for thousands of years proves how many ways exist to get there. One of them are altered states of consciousness, which we can achieve with psychedelic substances, among others and which are currently experiencing a renaissance in the public and also in science. There is still a thick, dusty cloak of stigma over the subject though, casting its unbroken appeal and enormous potential for psychotherapeutic use in a pale and one-sided light.

Teamwork at the TCR
The Transcontinental is a bicycle race from point A to point B, via Control Points, where solo riders and pairs race without outside assistance. There are few rules, summed up by our final rule: ‘Ride in the spirit of self-reliance and equal opportunity.’ As the race founder Mike Hall once said, it’s an event ‘where a rider can simply pick up a bike, shake hands at the start line and race thousands of miles for the pure satisfaction of sport.’
